Fishing Report 1/30/2009 - Central PA Spring Creeks

Took a quick road trip out through the Limestone this past weekend to do some hiking on South Mountain.  This trip took me past a few freestone creeks as well as the beloved limestone streams.  Lots of ice on the freestone streams with all the cold weather we have been having, but those Limestone Streams were looking wonderful.  The water levels are really up, but perfect.  The color is translucent green with about 2 feet of visibiltiy in the lower sections.  This is the time of the year when big things attract the big browns!  If you get a chance skip work and take the drive out to the Letort or Yellow Breeches.  You will have the fish to yourself.
