About the Dead Drift Rod Company

The Dead Drift Rod Company was born out of necessity. The effectiveness of float fishing for migratory trout in the Great Lakes tributaries has caught on and is spreading like wild fire across the region. So why not scale it down and apply the same effective techniques to our inland waters? Well, we did and boy is it fun and super effective. The only issue was the readily available rods for float fishing were geared toward big waters and bigger fish. Until Now! We logged many hours on the water and burned the midnight oil playing with guide spacings, handle configuration and blanks until we came up with what we feel is a super rod for smaller inland fishing.
